The Difference Our Community Has Made

In 2019, after many years of planning, the Activity Centre opened its doors. This multi‑use facility has been a true game‑changer for St George’s, featuring a state‑of‑the‑art sports hall with an innovative glass floor for adjustable markings, a fully equipped gym, two dance studios, and a dedicated mental‑health classroom.

When the College needed a digital cricket scoreboard, a group of Old Georgians who had loved playing cricket here came together to fund the new facility.

The Sixth Form Centre was refurbished in 2025 thanks to the generous support of the Class of 2024 Leavers Fund. With its fresh, modern design and upgraded facilities, it has transformed the experience for our Sixth Form students for years to come.

Thanks to the generosity of our community – and the support of the Parents’ Association – the College Music Department has undergone a significant upgrade. The recital room has been fully refurbished, and new equipment has been added to ensure our music facilities meet a high contemporary standard.

Founder’s Giving Day in December 2024, supported by the Parents’ Association, funded new outdoor learning equipment for the Lower Years at the Junior School. The addition of sand and water tables, bricks, play tables, and binoculars has brought fresh energy and creativity to the space, giving pupils new opportunities to explore, build, and work together in ways that reflect our values of inclusivity and collaboration.

The cricket nets at the College were in need of an upgrade, and thanks to the generosity of a major donor with a passion for the sport, the project was able to go ahead – support for which we are incredibly grateful.
