Give your

Ambassador

As an OG Ambassador you will be the face and spokesperson for your year group (Class of year). Your connections within your year group will help develop reunions and allow the Development Team to connect with more Georgians from around the globe. Your role will ensure we maximise attendance to reunions and other events.

Michael Findlay
We have actively engaged Georgians scattered across the United States with a concentration in the New York City area ranging in age from fairly recent graduates to septuagenarians like me. I am a long time Board member of the British Schools and Universities Foundation (BSUF) which allows OG’s who are U.S. taxpayers to make tax-deductible donations that benefit UK Schools, including St George’s. My wife and I are fortunate to have a spacious home in Manhattan, where we have hosted the choir, class visits and fundraising events. Hopefully the next big one can be in 2021!

Volunteer

As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to help a number of activities, including but not limited to; Parents’ Association, OGA and SGW events. These would include larger events like Georgian Day which takes place every summer term. We might ask you to review special communications or campaigns to gather your valued feedback. When events are back up and running you will be able to assist with these, such as, Georgian Family Day, Parents’Association and more. You will have the opportunity to connect with other Georgian volunteers and help shape the future of our events at St George’s Weybridge.

Val Banks
Being the Co-Chair of the Parents’ Association is a very busy role but one which I love. I get involved in so many varied events and meet great people. We have a proactive PA Committee fundraising for both schools and we are very proud of what we have been able to achieve – the climbing wall in the College AC being our biggest purchase – all the money we raise goes towards enriching the Georgian experience for our children. I feel that giving back to our Georgian Community creates a wonderful family spirit.

I couldn’t manage without my Co-Chair, Georgina, our PA members and invaluable help from other parents. We have fun doing what we do – being a PA member is a great way to get to know more about the school and meet other parents. We would love other parents to join us – please get in touch if you would like to know more on PASGW@stgeorgesweybridge.com
