Surrey, UK-native actor and singer-songwriter Andy Keels announces the imminent release of the first single, “Dead To Me,” off his upcoming album Fifteen Years. The EP was recorded at the prolific Germano Studios in New York, with Grammy nominated engineer and producer, Dave Rowland (Kanye West, The Killers, John Legend, Justin Bieber, Post Malone). Currently residing in NYC, a city which inspires him and helps him channel his vivid creativity and vision, Andy’s new release, “Dead To Me,” bursts a range of strong, vocal lead indie/pop/rock influences with raw and rocky undertones.

Keels got started with singing and writing music when he was at secondary school. From the get-go, Andy was really hungry to learn, improve, and perform whenever he could. Andy Keels is also an actor who has appeared in commercials, short and feature length films, including, 211, with Nicolas Cage. As a teen, he was Inspired by Green Day and songwriter and producer Max Martin (NSYNC, Bon Jovi, Pink), Andy Keels quickly found his way of writing pop songs.  Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, Elvis, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Cash, Kurt Cobain, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Oasis, are also among the iconic performers that have influenced Andy’s approach towards music. 

Keels finds inspiration from life situations that have an emotional or meaningful link with the people he’s met along the way, stories he’s heard, or places he’s been to.

At only 18 years, he nailed a record deal with his band of the time, alongside his brother Niall and other friends. Andy was a drummer, singer, and songwriter in the pop/rock band, Twen2y4se7en, and toured the UK with the likes of Westlife, McFly, Blue, and Sugababes.

Andy is a skilled storyteller and likes to create the world in his songs with both the music and the lyrics. “Whether it’s an upbeat, feelgood song, a slower emotive song, or, something in between, I want people to connect with it for their own reasons, and enjoy it”. “Having struggled with mental health for many years, music has always been my therapy and, thankfully, I’ve been able to channel the highs and lows into my songwriting”.

Andy Keels’ music is a mix of indie pop and indie rock, as he incorporates many different influences from different generations and genres. His songs vary in style but all fall somewhere in the pop/rock spectrum. His love for blues and jazz, and his strong penchant for mixing things up with vocals and harmonies, all together form his uniquely appealing signature sound.
