At the end of the spring term, we asked all parents, who were in a position to do so, to consider donating the discount received on the summer term fees directly to an emergency bursary fund set up to help current Georgian families affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The response to this has been inspirational and a very big heartfelt thank you goes to Georgian parents who together, this term, have donated an incredible £100,000 to the St George’s Bursary Fund. As a direct result of this tremendous support, hardship bursaries have been provided to families who have been adversely impacted by the Coronavirus. In total, the combined donations from parents have supported eighteen students this term from across the Junior School and the College, enabling them, and their families, to remain part of our Georgian family.

“We are very grateful and thankful to the Georgian Family for their kind gesture and generosity towards our family during this uncertain and precarious time. We would like to warmly thank all the parents from school who made this happen. It was truly like a beacon of light at the end of the tunnel on hearing the good news. As a family unit, we once again extend our warm thanks to you and all responsible for this true act of kindness.”

“This pandemic has really had its stresses, but also has had real moments of light, togetherness and support. Where people have really shown their true characters and this is just another example how Georgian families have pulled together to support each other during hard times. It is warming, uplifting and greatly appreciated.”
